$65.47 (-40%)
you are looking at a very rare Treenware boxwood burl container from S. Maw. Son & Thompson, London, traveling physician’s apothecary bottle; circa 1850. it is marked 4 oz on the bottom of the burl container. the bottle is in very beautiful condition. the label on the wooden container reads: “CHLOROF…” which i am assuming is chloroform. the label on the bottle indicates “syrup of squill” which indicates this bottle has been re-used throughout its history. the turned top has one minor crack that is 3/8″ long but does not impede the operation of the top closing and opening. there is normal wear on the bottle with no chips or cracks. entire container measures 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. you will have a very difficult time finding an intact burl container with it’s original bottle considering it is approx. 170 years old. this is a real beauty; serious offers only please. i will ship double boxed and fully insured.
